Dragon Boats on the Nambucca River
Nambucca River Dragons Incorporated is a sporting association that aims to introduce and encourage participation in the sport of Dragon Boating to all residents of the Nambucca Valley and environs, including all major population centres such as Macksville, Nambucca Heads, and Bowraville.
Nambucca River Dragons is a not-for-profit organisation, funded by memberships, donations, and grants. We are keen to see the beautiful Nambucca River graced by Dragon Boats, and to see participants realise the benefits of exercise, sunshine, water sport, and the social interactions on offer.
Nambucca River Dragons (NRD) Incorporated is affiliated with a parent body, Dragon Boats NSW (DBNSW), and all members of NRD become members of DBNSW at the time they join.
Dragon Boating offers opportunities to join in a sport that caters to your level of fitness and commitment, and ranges from the casual paddle to competition racing and regattas. Nambucca River Dragons actively seeks the participation of paddlers of all ages from 12 up, and the formation of different kinds of paddling teams, both mixed and same-sex.
